Murcia City Council is working with the diocese in the restoration of the church of Our Lady of the Rosary was Alta.
The Board of Governors approved a cooperation agreement with the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena to carry out the work.
The works will consist in the complete restoration of the temple.
The investment is 496,500 euros, of which the City will provide 300,000 euros.
The church was built in the nineteenth century.
The building is a Latin cross with a dome on your cruise.
The cover is austere lines with simple lintels and a triangular pediment and crowning, plus a recurring element in many of the buildings in the districts of Murcia, a futile circular (in other buildings usually elliptical).
The altar is decorated with a small altarpiece of the Virgin's image, modern sculpture, but holding a baby Jesus dating from the eighteenth century.
