Francisco Jose Moreno Prison, a student at High School 2 ° IES Saavedra Fajardo, was the winner of the Regional Olympiad of Biology, organized by the University of Murcia Murcia select representatives in the national phase of the competition.
The student has done with "special awards from the Academy of Sciences of the Region of Murcia", equipped with 300 euros, while Alba Maria Garcia Garcia, Marist College Merced Fuensanta, and Nuria Fernández Pérez, the College San Jose, won the second prize of 200 euros each.
These students represent the Region at the National Olympiad to be held from 22 to 25 March also in Murcia.
The awards will be made in the Faculty of Biology, coinciding with the acts of the Week this university (20 to 24 February).
In addition, the School of Computing has organized for March 10 the fifth edition of the Regional Olympiad this field tournament which aims to disseminate and promote the programming of computers among students in middle and high school.
