Youth and publishes a DVD with the evaluation and conclusions of this initiative was launched in 2008
About 15,000 young people participate in the Youth Integration Murcia ambitious project, a program of participation, voluntary associations and led to the integration of immigrants, mainly teenagers and young adults.
This project was launched in 2008 and the last two years has had about 15,000 participants, 76 activities, 112 volunteers working, 46 actions taken by the participating entities, 7 and 3 produced audiovisual works published.
Councilman Young, Miguel Cascales, submitted for publication 'Integrayparticipa.es, guide evaluation of a participatory process of social integration, "a high quality publication with more than 200 pages, summarizing the most important aspects of the integration program Youth Murcia and shows the evaluation and conclusions of the last two years of work (2010 and 2011).
The publication includes an analysis of the new social and cultural reality in the second decade of the century, the key program, best practices for integration, evaluation, participatory process to integrate the voice of the participants and conclusions.
The publication is a look at the reality of immigrant youth, and a compilation of the experiences made that have resulted in the creation of a cooperation network formed by young immigrants and Spanish, the greater involvement of youth and social organizations present in the municipality, and the increasing participation of immigrant youth in activities promoted by the city of Murcia.
The guide is now being presented is complete with the DVD 'Images of a participatory process for Integration', which include audiovisual made in the various activities and a video program evaluation, all made by participants during 2010 and 2011.
This program has many young people and immigrant groups are active subjects of programs and activities for youth and volunteers, working together with other Spanish youth.
Among the conclusions of this work are several procedures that promote youth integration, which are:
-To facilitate the incorporation of the new neighbors youth organizations, youth activity centers and existing spaces as young La Nave and 585 m2.
-Support the creation of youth branches in immigrant organizations.
-To foster common interasociativas and immigrant youth organizations.
-Develop intercultural volunteer programs, which live together and engage people from different backgrounds.
In addition, work will continue on the website www.integrayparticipa.es and dissemination of the project on social networks, voluntary exchange, the training and advisory service for young people and immigrant groups and the development of cultural activities and leisure, free time and youthful expression.
The website www.integrayparticipa.es has been awarded as best website in the form of association in the latest edition of the awards website of The Truth.
The Murcia Youth Integration program has been selected by the Autonomous University of Barcelona for presentation at the Conference Youth and Society in Europe and the Mediterranean, to be held in June.
