Francisco Muñoz was elected coordinator of IU-local Greens in Murcia with the unanimous vote of the members of the Municipal Political Council (CPM), in the course of the assembly that the training was held today at the headquarters of CCOO.
Munoz, who is member of IU-Greens in the municipal board of Bacons Bridge, has topped the list submitted to the CPM only, consisting of 31 persons among which are the outgoing coordinator and spokesman in the city of Murcia, Esther Herguedas, and Councilman Jose Ignacio Tornel.
Highlighting the work "important and effective" of the previous address, the new coordinator has said his main goal now is to continue the fight to improve the situation of citizens of the municipality.
"IU-Green will be on the street by people who are suffering from the crisis of neoliberalism, giving our support to homeless and evicted families, the unemployed and stops defending our heritage, which is the garden of Murcia, and betting for sustainability ".
He noted that assumes "the challenge" with the objective of supporting groups and gain representation in areas where there is none, and "fight for the public and fundamental rights have been violated by retrograde policies PP and PSOE ".
He highlighted the importance of working "hand in hand" with the municipal group and social movements to enhance the process of Social Call, "the one", in his view, "capable of responding to citizens."
In addition, those attending the meeting have approved the management report of the outgoing CPM, led by Esther Herguedas, who has praised the experience and the work of Muñoz in IU-Greens.
