Working with the environment, build self-esteem and motivate students through leisure and culture are some of the objectives to be achieved
Prevention and control of absenteeism among children under 15 years of age is the goal to be achieved through occupational class, which is aimed at students of the second cycle of secondary school in the hamlet of El Palmar.
The occupational class for remedial education is aimed at disadvantaged students, in addition to accumulate significant curricular gaps in most areas, assess negatively the school setting and present serious difficulties of adaptation, or has an enrollment process late or very irregular.
The number of students in the classroom may not exceed fifteen.
The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has recently given the green light to the development of Occupational Classroom project for the period January to June 2012, amounting to 16,000 euros.
The facilities will be provided by the city of Murcia in the El Palmar Training Center, located at Carretera de Mazarron, km 3.
Training classroom equipped with basic furniture (tables, chairs, blackboard, etc.). And professional workshops: kitchen, restaurant, hotel, as well as those specific to the IES El Palmar Meeting Room and space for development of physical education.
The last course was carried out the project in a total of 15 students from the Schools of the hamlet of El Palmar.
The lines of action of this project are:
- Transmission, development and promotion of culture.
Find places to find spaces and important educational offerings because the action required to enrich the educational environment.
- Mediation social, cultural and educational.
Mediate between people and contexts in social and cultural dimensions.
We must unite the subject with the content and promote the community level.
- Generating social networks, contexts, processes and social and educational resources.
Find places and activities appropriate resources and training to provide tools and instruments to enhance and improve educational processes.
- Individualized Attention: This part of the diversity and heterogeneity of the group and individual characteristics of students to adapt the strategies and modes of action.
- Review.
Building critical capacity of participants to themselves and to the environment, fostering personal development and growth as autonomous and responsible.
- Active-participatory.
Having the involvement of the participants, families, faculty, social workers, etc..
- Teamwork.
It is the key to ensuring the proper development of the project.
