Josefina Garcia Lozano's leadership has been responsible for closing the conference
San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) has closed this afternoon the Conference on Bioethics, who during his last days have been on 'Bioethics and the common good'.
The rector of the UCAM, Josefina García Lozano, has been responsible for closing the symposium by the director of the Master in Bioethics, Gloria Thomas, who has read the conclusions drawn from the various papers that have provided important matter related professionals, during the three days the conference lasted.
The rector of the UCAM has pointed this act as a meeting point where professionals from different fields related to bioethics, to discuss and share knowledge and progress made.
Similarly, Josefina García Lozano, has asserted that "the position of the University in this sense is always defending the dignity of the human person from conception to natural death."
Bioethics and the Common Good
The first step has been the judge, president of the Section 4 of the Litigation Division of the High Court and a former member of the General Council of Judicial Power, José Luis Requero, who has focused his presentation on the theme 'Legislators, Judges and Bioethics', and lectured on the status of legislation regarding human life, the status of assisted human reproduction, and ultimately the law on abortion.
Note the paper 'The ethical-political dimension of bioethical problems', which has provided regular Professor of Moral Theology, Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome), and consultant to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Bishop Angel Rodriguez, who has ensured that much of bioethical problems have a political dimension related to the personal dimension, but that is different, and to address it requires a specific methodology.
"Basically a country has laws that accepts. While it is important to the political culture of politicians, it is also important to the political culture of citizens," said Monsignor Angel Rodriguez.
