Barquero Alicia opened the shows that will be open until the end of the month
Councilmember Equality Policy and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, inaugurated this morning the exhibition "Dreaming of a Future 'campaign childhood Manos Unidas.
This exhibition will be open until January 31, Monday to Friday from 10-13 am in the exhibition hall of the Municipal Center of El Carmen.
The exhibition consists of a series of photographs and text panels that show a tour of the reality of children and situations of helplessness experienced by children in many countries.
Among other things, you can see pictures of Kibala (Angola), Choluteca (Honduras), Parakuntu (India), Parakou (Nigeria), Quito (Ecuador), island of Basilan (Philippines), Freetown (Sierra Leone), Antananarivo (Madagascar ), Poipet (Cambodia), Haiti, Yaoundé (Cameroon), and Howarh Agra (India), Recife (Brazil) and Nyeri (Kenya).
This initiative is part of efforts to promote the work of NGOs in the municipality, and to disseminate the Millennium Development Goals.
Each month a theme is chosen and the month of January is dedicated to La Paz.
Children from various schools visited the exhibition with the aim of raising awareness among smaller situations of violation of rights and injustice with children who are given elsewhere.
