The secretary general of the PSOE in Murcia, Pedro Lopez, said that after the two final electoral defeat, "we face a process for the PSOE to recover sooner from a new kind of politics, opening the organization to society ".

Forum open to the public

In this sense, Lopez recalled that the next February there will be a forum open to all socialist activists, supporters, associations, representatives of social movements and neighbors in general to reflect and discuss new ways to bring the public policy .

"We are the only alternative government to the municipality of Murcia and we have to come out stronger in the next Congress, because the PP governments are endangering the welfare state and equality of opportunity can be realized by the PSOE, so more than ever we must carry out a useful and constructive opposition, aware of the serious economic situation we are facing, "he stressed.

Also, Pedro López said before members of the Municipal Committee that "the Executive Council has established the basis for coordinating work between the Municipal Socialist Group in the City, the eleven groups of district and the Young Socialists, in line with the regional leadership of the Party, by a common political discourse and the development of a strategic project for the municipality that has become the fundamental basis of the proposals raised by Councillors in Murcia Consistory. "

Finally, at the Municipal Committee, have submitted separate balances the action of the Municipal Executive, since its formation in September 2009, and the work of the Socialist Group in the City in the early months of this term.
