Professor at the University of Murcia Alberto Requena has been named president of the Territorial Section of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry, which has just been set up to acquire their own autonomy and not depend, as usual, the demarcation of Alicante.
For its part, Alberto Tárraga has been named vice president, Manuel Hernandez, secretary, Jose Ruiz, Treasurer, and Jose Luis Gomez, vocal.
The Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) is to promote, develop and disseminate this discipline, both in its pure science and in its applications in Spain.
To fulfill this purpose edits the journal Annals of the ResQ, on a quarterly and a newsletter that appears every two weeks.
