The Vice Chancellor of Finance and Infrastructure of the University of Murcia, Professor Antonio Calvo-Flores, said during a presentation to the Senate a report on the economic situation that "the carrying capacity of our own institution has reached its limit ".
Calvo-Flores added that the draft of the proposed budget for next year reflects a decrease of 7.7 percent over 2011, standing at 195 million euros, "involving 16 million less than the current year's budget ".
"Next year we will have to make an even greater sacrifice than we have been doing two courses, because the situation in the Region of Murcia and Spain is one that is, the year 2012 will be worse than 2011, and we must assume, "he stated.
The vice president has said elsewhere that Nov. 30, University of Murcia had made payments from the budget amounting to 186.7 million euros, though this period had entered only a little over 164 million.
The report exposed the University Senate also includes the Autonomous Community has not yet recognized liabilities for the years 2010 and 2011 rise in total to 31.3 million euros, so that has made an administrative complaint for collection that recognition.
