From 18.30 today will light the Christmas lights that adorn the city.
As in previous years, the LED illumination allows significant energy savings
Christmas lights will be lit this evening from 18.30, time in which light up every day until 23 pm, except Christmas Eve and New Year, which will remain light till two in the morning.
As in previous years, all the lights are LED, which means a significant savings over energçetico traditional lights.
As you may recall, the City of Murcia in 2008 adapted special Christmas lighting to the requirements of sustainability and to minimize the costs of electricity consumption.
As a remarkable fact should be noted that the motives of the main streets of the city: Gran Via, Tatters, Silverware and Mail are released this year and no street lighting repeats the previous year.
On the other hand, in Tatters and Silver ornaments have opted for lower light output to make it stand the light of the Gran Via shopping and decorations have been installed flat against the volumes created by previous holiday wicker.
It also illuminates the tree that has installed the Department of Tourism in Glorieta, in addition to the lights Díez de Revenga and Ronda Norte.
