Able to supply the most suitable irrigation dose response to weather events or climatic parameters
The Department of the Environment continues to work to improve the sustainability of the municipality while decreasing the expenditure of resources and increase savings.
To this end, the Parks and Gardens has installed a centralized irrigation control in 55 parks in the municipality.
This new system can provide the most appropriate dose of irrigation in response to climatic parameters of the municipality or, weather events such as rain or drying winds detected by a weather station connected to the system.
You can also detect leaks by excesses of consumption, we can establish fertilization programs ...
Thus, the automation of watering heads and connection to a computer through remote centralized means to advance in the management of water intake to the gardens, aimed at greater efficiency and savings.
The facilities that comprise the system are:
1 .- CONTROL CENTER: Located within the Park Service and Gardens consists of a PC with the software required for programming and remote monitoring of programmers.
Is connected to the municipal telecommunications network.
2 .- MUNICIPAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK.
The Computing Service of the City of Murcia has developed a telecommunications network for the municipality based on WiFi technology.
This network is being augmented to reach all the automatic to be installed in the gardens.
Compared to other telecommunication systems (GPRS, ....) The use of the municipal annual saves about 12,000 Euros for the total of gardens built into the system.
3 .- AUTOMATION IN GARDENS.
The automatic control existing sprinkler heads in the gardens, and through WIFI connection ensures connection to the Control Center through the municipal telecommunications.
The gardens have been equipped with the system are, among others, Floridablanca, Pintor Pedro Flores, Constitution Square, the garden South Round Lake and others in districts such as El Palmar, Holy Angel, Algezares, the Pool, Aljucer, San Ginés and San Jose de la Vega.
