The University of Murcia has started the course of gold, which, led by Professor of Art History Jesus Rivas, will run until December 1 to coincide with the feast of St. Eloy, the patron of goldsmiths.
The course meets in the Chamber of Arts, Merced campus, a group of experts and professionals in the guild of jewelers, silversmiths and watchmakers that they address different aspects of jewelry in conferences and round tables.
On Monday, 28 will be the turn of Professor at the University CEU Cardenal Herrera Alejandro Cañestro Donoso, who will talk about the silver Alicante (16:00 hours), the doctor in Art History Carlos Salas Gonzalez, who will speak on the value of gold and silver (17:00 hours), and professor at the University of Murcia Manuel Pérez Sánchez, in his speech will speak on silver and Illustration (19:00 hours).
Along with the presentations on Tuesday at 18:00 pm and held the launch of "Silver San Eloy Studies 2011", an activity that will include a symposium on the current state of research on gold by authors work.
The course will end next Thursday, when the main events will take place on the feast of St. Eloy, the entrance procession, the reading of the proclamation, the offerings to the saint and the appointment of members 2011.
