The Geological Heritage Commission also calls for that company development and enforcement of legislation aimed at conservation and sustainable use of geological heritage.
Another initiative relates to the desirability of promoting public and private activities oriented towards the study and classification of geological heritage, conservation and educational use, dissemination and sustainable tourism.
Scientists also call the declaration of new protected areas and national parks "to cover all natural systems and representative geologic units in Spain."
