From 10 am in Classroom Nature of Majal Blanco
The new volunteers begin tomorrow environmental work.
From 10 up to 14 hours will be held the day Volunteering Welcome Municipal Forest Park Majal Blanco.
This activity will instead find the Municipal Environmental Information Point located in the Plaza of mulberry trees, from where they organize the climb to the facilities of the Nature's Classroom Majal Blanco and his environment.
The Environmental Volunteer of the Municipality of Murcia was founded with the aim of promoting citizen participation in the knowledge and environmental conservation.
With this project, the City of Murcia wants to contribute to sustainable development of natural areas of the municipality linking environmental heritage to the cultural, historical and ethnographic collaboration with volunteers under Law 5 / 2004 of 22 October Volunteer of the Region of Murcia.
The Department of Environment launches new initiative in order to promote and enhance citizen participation in the knowledge and municipal environmental conservation from voluntary social action.
With this project, and with reference to international recommendations and regulations about state and regional (Law 5 / 2004 of 22 October, volunteers from the region of Murcia), the City wants to contribute to sustainable development of natural areas municipality, linking the recovery and conservation of environmental and cultural heritage with the active collaboration of volunteers.
The Municipal Environmental Volunteer Program, which joins the already existing Metro Volunteers for the Local Agency for Energy Murcia, includes five main lines of action that integrate specific actions to be carried out mainly in environments municipality's natural, especially in the Forest Park City of El Majal Blanco.
The lines of action set are:
• Recovery and enhancement of heritage resources, contemplates on elements and environments of interest for restoration and conservation with proper techniques, and the recovery of the history and traditions of the local population in the selected sites (rescue oral testimony about characters relevant customs and past activities, old images, etc).
• Improve the landscape is to develop actions to recover the scenic quality of natural environments, eliminating or minimizing the extent possible the negative impacts on the landscape.
• Conservation of biodiversity: integrating knowledge-related activities and recovery of the flora and fauna, with special attention to the unique species and / or protected by the municipality
• Support for public use management: includes actions to promote responsible public use of natural areas, working on tasks of information, knowledge of the profile and needs of visitors, and monitoring and improvement of trails and other municipal facilities in the natural areas.
• Dissemination of voluntary action: they seek to promote communication on voluntary actions and results, creating meeting points and other actions aimed to present and exchange experiences between the volunteer and other potentially interested persons (meetings, lectures, visits to environments recovered, etc).
To disseminate and streamline municipal volunteer program has established the Office of Environmental Volunteer of the Municipality of Murcia.
From here you can perform different tasks related to planning and organizing activities, outreach, and care and information to people interested in details and conditions of the program (rights and duties of volunteers, etc.) as well as management of applications registration card for identification.

The Municipal Environmental Volunteers will involve all stakeholders (including minors, authorized and accompanied by an adult or guardian / a charge), and eager to learn and enjoy nature in its recovery work and continuous improvement.
