PSOE spokesman, Pedro Lopez, voted today against the rising price of water, which ranges from 7.14% for users who consume between 0 and 20 m3 per two months, which are the majority of receipts; 4.87% for consumption between 21 and 40 m3 per two months, 3.70% for consumption between 41 and 60 m3 per two months, and finally 3.81% for consumption between 61 and 80 m3 per two months proposed by the company Aguas de Murcia in the meeting of the Board of Directors.
"In times of crisis, says Lopez, the bill for less consumption will be increased and yet will lower the higher the consumption as a result of the new restructuring of rates approved today, and that a sentence requires Aguas de Murcia to modify the old rate system. "
This rise in average water bill is above the CPI, which does not seem to get in a situation of economic hardship.
PSOE spokesman raised at the meeting of the Council "postpone the rise and seek other methods to rebalance the economic situation as may be to reduce the economic benefit or revise the percentage for depreciation or investment."
