The student of Education at the University of Murcia Maria Martinez Hita has achieved one of the prizes of the Youth Institute of Spain (INJUVE, the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equal) for work on the factors that triggered the housing bubble in Spain.
Martinez Hita, which has been done with the 6,000 euros prize money, won more than 250 works presented in the competition for Young Researchers 2011.
The student Murcia is one of the representatives of Spain in the European competition for young researchers, to be held next year in Bratislava (Slovakia).
The same work, "History of a bubble: an analysis of the factors that have led to the creation of the housing bubble in Spain (1998-2008)", was also awarded the "St. Viator" in section economy.
This award, sponsored by Banco Santander and Universia, is an award for research in sciences and humanities.
