Murcia University today received the 2011 Mayor's Award for regional work of the educational institution for the integration of older people.

Together with the University of Murcia, has been recognized also the former Bishop Javier Azagra as Mayor of the Year and Encarnación Navarro, Alzheimer's Association of Murcia, with the local award.

The Vice Chancellor for Institutional Relations and Health Sciences, Manuel Vidal, and the director of Senior Hall, University of Murcia, María Asunción Hidalgo, received the award at a gala held at the Archives in the presence of many authorities and institutional representatives.
