San Antonio Catholic University (UCAM) has inaugurated this afternoon the Masters in Engineering in Civil and Ports in the course of an act in which they intervened the rector of the UCAM, Josefina Garcia, Dean of Civil Engineering Degree and director of the Master, the Santos Jimenez Pedro Meseguer, the Director General for Transport and Ports of the CARM, José María Barnabas Infrastructure Councillor Murcia, Ana Martinez Vidal and the mayor, Miguel Angel House, which could not attend but sent a video message to welcome the students.
Notably, the renowned engineer Javier Manterola, delivered the inaugural lecture of the Master who has been entitled "Modern cable-stayed bridges."
Pedro Meseguer Jimenez de los Santos, said in his speech that "the implementation of the Master in Civil Engineering, Channels and Ports in the UCAM, will train engineers with a high level of technical and scientific training, capable of launching and manage new projects in various sectors such as Planning, Transport and the Environment, and significantly increase the research activity. "
The teacher has also emphasized the importance of civil engineering in the face of economic recovery and job creation.
