Marta Garaulet Professor award for his studies on obesity (03/10/2011)

Professor of Physiology at the University of Murcia Marta Garaulet has been awarded the European Prize "Santé Nutrition and Weight Management Award in the" endowed with 10,000 euros for his career in the study and treatment of obesity.

The award, which will be presented on October 22 in Sicily (Italy), awarded to European researchers and professionals known for their work on obesity prevention, with the understanding of eating behavior, weight loss and nutritional therapies.

Garaulet, who has authored over 100 scientific publications in high impact journals in the field of nutrition, has focused its professional development in the treatment of obesity, using behavioral therapy techniques and a Mediterranean diet for prevention, known Garaulet as Method.
