The University of Murcia heads the group of ten Spanish universities, along with the Virtual Library Foundation "Miguel de Cervantes", have created the Chair Vargas Llosa, who will be as morning, day 4, during a ceremony to be held in the Palace la Zarzuela and the Princes of Asturias preside.

The Chair aims to promote contemporary literary studies, enhanced interest in writing and reading, promoting research and supporting the Spanish and Latin American literary creation.
Murcia The university will be represented in the act of incorporation by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho.
