Barquero Alicia participated in the first round to talk to young people aware of the need to help poorer countries
The Department of Equality Policies and Development Cooperation, who runs Alicia Barquero, begins a round of talks at colleges and HEIs in the municipality to spread among young people the work of the NGOs working in international cooperation, and to raise awareness of the need to help the poorest countries.
NGOs participate in these meetings that will discuss their work in disadvantaged countries and speak in first person from his experience.
The first visit was made this morning to the Divine Teacher School, Murcia, with the participation of firefighters in action.
The aim is to convey to younger values ​​based on solidarity and social commitment, create interest in development cooperation and reduce discriminatory behavior by students toward immigrants.
This initiative is part of the activities planned to mark the Day of Cooperating.
The City has also organized the photo exhibitions "Committed to Anantapur ', Vicente Ferrer Foundation, and The High-Contrast' of the Foundation Center palliri Municipal del Carmen, which will be open until 7 October.
