Councillor for Sports, Miguel Cascales, this morning visited the works, which are well advanced.
This new sports center will become the third largest municipality in terms of capacity, as it will have space for a thousand spectators, the first is the Palacio de Deportes and the second the Prince of Asturias.
The pavilion has a floor area of ​​2,220 square meters and has a center court 45x24 feet, with removable wooden floor as the Palace of Sports-, two side stairs, entrance hall with lobby, two general locker rooms, two dressing rooms for referees, two large dressing rooms for the disabled, four public toilets, two sporting goods stores, two bathrooms and cleaning kit.
The novelty of this pavilion is the indoor climbing wall, 15 meters tall and a size of 27x5 meters, which has three zones, one for initiation, one lap and the last to race-suited to host competitions of the Federation Spanish Mountain Sports and Climbing.
Investment in this project is about three million euros.
In addition, the pavilion is designed to save energy and large windows that allow natural light to enter and during daylight hours will not be necessary to use electricity.
