The socialist mayor Pedro Lopez and Susana Hernandez have visited this morning, with the mayor of Old Javalí PSOE, José Francisco Navarro, Lasheras Hellín the public school in the hamlet, where they called the project "Textbook Bank 'launched by the Municipal Board and the education community with the center which has lasted six years running.
The village headman explained the operation of this program, involving 95% of parents taking their children to the center and that is that every year after the course, children give their books to school, a collection of volumes managed by the school itself that is made available to interested parties.
Parents participating in this program pay a fee of 65 euros per year, which is included in the membership of the AMPA, and serves to renew every year the books of a full course.
According to Navarro, this initiative contributes to value education because it encourages children to keep books in good condition, because at the end of the year the books back to the center, and if one is not in optimum condition, parents have to pay price, something that happens in only two of every 600 books that are delivered.
The program also helps to instill in students a respect for the environment through recycling, while making a significant economic relief for families who are saving an average of 120 euros per year per student.
The PSOE councilors have indicated that this project represents an important aid to families facing this year back to school in a difficult situation, compounded by the disappearance of BonoLibro, while highlighting the work of the village headman of Javalí Viejo, the most old democratic era, and his team.
Finally, Lopez and Hernandez recalled that at the plenary session of last July, the Socialist Party filed a motion, which was rejected by the PP, which requested a line of specific grants for AMPAS to put in place programs Reuse of textbooks as the one place in the CEIP Hellín Lasheras of Javalí Viejo.
