Organized by the University Choir of Murcia, has been called the First Singing Contest FNAC Murcia University, which seeks to promote vocal music in both group and solo.
The competition fit all styles and genres of vocal music, since it is divided into three categories: lyrical solo singing (opera, operetta, lieder, oratorio ...) modern solo singing (pop, rock, heavy metal, singer-songwriters, music ...), and vocal groups, which compose any style can be played by groups of 3 to 8 singers.
The first phase of the contest will be on-line.
Participants should upload videos of their best performances to the Internet to be elected from the Culture Service page of the University.
The three contestants voted for each category will go directly to the finals and will compete with three other contestants selected by the panel until the number of six finalists.
The final stages are held at the FNAC-New Condomina, within the activities of the University Welcome Party (BUM), on October 17 (lyrical solo singing), October 19 (solo singing modern) and October 21 ( vocal groups) all at 19 hours.
Also in the BUM will host the awards ceremony on 26 October at the University Social Centre at 19 hours, in which the winners will perform alongside the Coral Universitaria de Murcia, directed by Jorge Losana.
