González Tovar has advanced to the new sports center will be completed in the first half of next year and involves an investment by the Sports Council of more than 600,753 euros, financed by the Extension Program Plan for Physical Education School Sport and non-university teaching centers, known as Plan School Plan or MEC.
This amount comprises 75% of the cost of the work, as the remaining 25% to the Autonomous Region and the Municipality of Murcia.
The Government representative stated that the action that is underway is the construction in the said Institute, a multi-sports hall of 44 x 25 meters, 7 meters of headroom and an area of ​​1107.50 meters square .
The sports center will also feature a lobby, two dressing rooms of students and two monitors, a large warehouse, machine room, clean room, reception, staff room and public toilet.
He underlined that this new sports facility in the IES Infante Juan Manuel allow students of this educational institution have a quality infrastructure for sport, in turn supports the use of other sports associations in the city.
"Ultimately, it is said, making a commitment to grassroots sport in the region and promote healthy activities for our youth."
More than 7 million euros in 39 performances
Tovar Gonzalez recalled that the CSD through the MEC Plan has made since 2005 more than 39 performances of construction and improvement of sports facilities of various public schools and institutes in the region, in towns such as Murcia, Albudeite, La Alberca, Torre Pacheco, Lorquí, Pliego, or mule, which have involved an investment of 7,321,726 euros.
Specifically, in the city of Murcia the Sports Council has made the improvement and construction of sports facilities, with 11 performances in public schools as the Federico Arce, and Narciso Yepes, as well as institutes of Alquerías or Juan Manuel Infante visited today.
757,000 euros for co-financed programs in schools
On the other hand, and from another game, the CSD has given the Autonomous Community of endowment grants to various sports facilities in schools, for a total of 757,000 euros over the years.
The centers have benefited from these grants have been the IES Francisco de Goya de Molina de Segura, Abarán IES, IES Salvador Sandoval Cotillas Towers, IES Martínez Ruiz Azorin of Yecla and the public school in Los Antolinos San Pedro del Pinatar.
