Nursing students are particularly stressed by the overload, uncertainty and helplessness to external factors during the course of practical training clinic, according to one of the conclusions of the doctoral dissertation at the University of Murcia by Maria Paz Sanchez Casado.
The student, who has obtained excellent cum laude, notes that nursing students from the University of Murcia "show a medium level of stress during the development of these practices."
The dissertation, which was directed by Carmen Gomez and Maria Isabel Ruzafa, states that "the development of clinical practice period are different factors that influence student learning, such as fear, anxiety, stress, errors, potential biological hazards and risks to others. "
The results of this research, as stated therein, "can help in making decisions involving the choice of practical learning contexts."
