The Socialist councilor Susana Hernandez denounced the accumulation of trash, debris and hazardous waste works for health in a municipally owned solar situated in the heart of Guadalupe where Monday is the weekly market and is also very close to the cultural center, the party room and a park where children play in the hamlet with the risk to their safety.
The mayor has visited the area next to the Municipal Socialist Group spokesman Peter Lopez and socialist members in the Municipality and has been found in that area as there are several mountains of garbage, paper, glass and metal in which they are deposited inside or adjacent to, fluorescent tubes, car oils, batteries, broken air conditioners, with risks of emissions.
Susana Hernandez said that these deposits are close to Monday market and a closeness that could pose a risk to health.
Hernandez recalled that the Municipality is the responsibility of health inspection and monitoring of the markets according to the ordinance of squares and markets of the City of Murcia.
The mayor insists that the municipal government, within its powers, may adopt any measures it deems appropriate including decommissioning of facilities.
In addition Susana Hernández stressed that the municipal markets should be subject to sanitary control of food exposed for sale or store, and hygiene of premises sale by the relevant veterinary inspection service.
In this sense the PSOE Councillor requires the City Council that set up this lot immediately because his sloppiness is endangering the health of the residents of Guadalupe and is allowing it to offer a poor image of the district because the garbage accumulates very near a tram stop.
