The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho participates in the meeting on "The University, engine overcoming the crisis," being held today and tomorrow at the Universidad Internacional "Menendez Pelayo" de Santander.

The meeting, which is sponsored by the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), includes several lectures and debates in which different specialists address issues such as finance and human capital of these institutions and the university and its contribution to development.

Lawmakers will also learn about the college experience in China.

The closure, to be held tomorrow, will be headed by Felipe Pétriz, Secretary of State for Research.
