The Department of Education of the City of Murcia has everything ready to 44,000 schoolchildren in the town begin classes on September 9 in public schools and Primary.
The City is finalizing the repairs and maintenance have been carried out in 16 schools in the municipality.
The Councillor for Education, María Dolores Sánchez, has indicated that the work is almost finished and the students begin the course normally.
Education has invested 356,500 euros funded by the City and the Autonomous Region in the works that have been made in the centers: Our Lady of Cortes (Nonduermas) Cristo del Valle (Torreagüera), Holy Christ of Mercy (Murcia), Holy Angel , Hellin Lasheras (Javalí Viejo), Maestro Enrique Laborda (Dolores), Virgen de la Fuensanta (La Alberca), Ntra Sra de Tears (Cabezo de Torres), Sacred Heart (Zeneta), Ciudad de La Paz (El Palmar) Enrique Tierno (Lobosillo), St. Pius X (Murcia), Sculptor González Moreno (Aljucer) and Sucina Arteaga, among others.
The works carried out relating to both civil works and installation of oil tanks or accountants as coatings and sanitation repair, replacement of flooring, blinds and arrangements carpentry or roofing, among others.
Also improvements have been made outside the centers, in most cases consist of placing non-slip flooring, cladding repairs, demolition of curbs and tree pits, cleaning sand patios or arrangement of fences.
The Councillor for Education, María Dolores Sánchez, stressed the importance of carrying out these actions "allow the school to enjoy an environment suitable for educational activities, with some centers that meet the appropriate conditions, comfortable and safe."
Sanchez has stressed the "economic effort for another year, despite the crisis, the City Council conducted to ensure the maintenance of schools."
