IU-Greens asked the council to yield space to social groups at parties (25/08/2011)

Murcia IU-Greens today called for the council to yield space during the Fair from September to social organizations and citizens to create spaces for discussion, lectures and meetings.

Councilman IU-Greens in the city, José Ignacio Tornel, explained that "it is a good time for social organizations such as unions, NGOs and political parties can show the rest of the population and provide information."

To Tornel, "at parties not represented a basic institutions of our democratic life, and since the council does not organize any discussion or conversation, must be the person performing the social fabric."

"It is unacceptable that companies have booths and there is no space for civic organizations," he explained.
