The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, announced that one of the boxes at the Teatro Romea bear the name of Julio Navarro Murcia Carbonell playwright, who died in yesterday.
With this initiative, the City intends to pay permanent tribute to a person who dedicated his life to the theater and had a special bond with Romea.
Thus, Julio Navarro will name one of the central boxes of the property, the tradition began in the late-90s when the council decided to honor great personalities of culture with this initiative.
Thus, Navarro will become the sixth personality that has a permanent presence at the Teatro Romea, together with José María Rodero, Montserrat Caballé, Francisco Rabal, Cecilio Pineda and Ginés Torrano.
