Councilman IU-Greens in Murcia, José Ignacio Tornel, today called for the council to take steps to prevent the proliferation of illegal dumps and litter in the town into lots.
Tornel recalled that the housekeeper of the public land is grass, while in the case of private consistory should ask their suitability and, if not done, clean space from the owner.
According to the mayor, "there are many examples of land in the bad state", including the landfill has cited "illegal" head of Torres, who is "full of junk" because of "lack of diligence" of council.
"This aspect can cause serious ill health and is responsible for the proliferation of pests like rats in different parts of town," he assured Tornel, noting that "it is time to act before problems have occurred."
