The councilman of the PSOE, José Zapata, deplores the bad image that provides build waste site in lots near the financial heart of the city and public awareness campaigns and calls for more oversight to prevent this problem in the whole municipality
The councilman of the PSOE, José Zapata, denounces the illegal proliferation of dumps near the Avenida Juan Carlos I.
The mayor visited the area last week in the hamlet of El Puntal by the socialist spokesman, Pedro López, Susana Hernandez and the mayor responding to complaints from neighbors, and could see as two lots on either side of the crossing of this road the Kingdom of Murcia Avenue (near the roundabout where the sculpture is located Mantis Miquel Navarro), collects garbage, construction materials and debris from work.
"It seems that the PP government team is only concerned to keep in good condition the main streets of Murcia but even these, when you scratch a bit, there are unpleasant surprises as tailings in the Avenida Juan Carlos I, close the tram route, along with economic and financial heart of Murcia, which generated a bad image for the city, "said the mayor of the PSOE.
Awareness campaigns and increased vigilance
In addition, Jose Zapata complains that the accumulation of garbage and debris on lots of works is not a problem specific to the hamlet of El Puntal but is widespread in almost all parts of our town.
"It is necessary to increase the awareness campaigns in Murcia City as there is rubble and inert landfill where waste can be deposited in any work, citizens must know and fees for use should be appropriate."
The Socialist councilor calls for the City increased surveillance to prevent illegal dumping of waste and states that are in place special devices on points that have become clandestine dumps regularly.
Finally, the mayor of the Socialist Party denounced the municipal government inaction in this situation and criticizes the apathy when it comes to enforcing city ordinances for the conservation of land that requires owners to keep them clean, and in case of default the responsibility lies with the City on a subsidiary.
