The Urban Plan includes a series of actions to the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit acts through organized participation (27/07/2011)

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light this morning to plan for the promotion of citizen participation in the urban project, amounting to 160,000 euros and for a period of two years.

The plan aims to help promote associations within the district, through the creation and reorganization of the various neighborhood associations and groups.

Through associations and groups is to promote the organized participation of all the neighbors of the Holy Spirit to set different way of working and collaboration.

Hence the part of the basis of the rules of participation, they are offered the necessary tools and guidelines to follow so that, collectively and individual citizens to participate.

The Urban Plan will improve the quality of urban environment and living conditions of citizens in the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit.

Besides the measures mentioned above, is planning to build a sports hall, rehabilitation of the main public spaces in the area, extending the Social Services Centre and the creation of cultural incubator.

The primary objective of this urban initiative, ERDF co-financed by European funds and the city of Murcia, is the social transformation and the physical rehabilitation of the neighborhood.

Be reorganized and improved public spaces of the Holy Spirit and the existing road around the houses.

In addition, a new distribution of equipment and most iconic public buildings, as well as an increased presence of green areas, recreational facilities and coexistence.

The performances of the URBAN project is structured around seven themes: promotion of culture, information society, improving the urban environment, improved energy efficiency, social programs, social inclusion and citizen participation, development of the economy and promoting employment, information and advertising, management, monitoring and evaluation of actions.

In addition, work on improving equal opportunities for all, training and information on environmental compliance and public participation.
