Alicia Madrid Barquero participates in meetings to further the creation of a tourism consortium that promotes the country (23/07/2011)

Councilmember Development Cooperation has held meetings with officials of municipalities and the FEMP

Councilmember Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, has held meetings in Madrid with the heads of municipalities and the vice director of International Relations and Cooperation of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), Fernando Armas, in order to study the actions efforts to implement a tourism consortium in Ecuador to promote the country.

Municipia The program is an initiative of coordinating the efforts of the different actors of Spanish cooperation to promote and strengthen local and municipal world in all the countries where cooperation.

The goal is municipal cooperation, seeks to improve institutional capacities, political, social and economic municipal world.

A commission of Ecuador visited the region from 17 to 23 October, to know the Tourist Consortium of Murcia and Cartagena, and learn from models of the Region to implement them in Ecuador.
