The Optics Laboratory at the University of Murcia has developed a multiphoton microscope with adaptive optics for analyzing biological samples and eye tissues and recording high-resolution images even in deep layers of the samples in a fast and safe for studied tissue.
Like most of the tissues analyzed in the field of biomedicine are transparent, observation with traditional microscopes previous operations requires fixing and staining that can sometimes change the properties of the samples of an uncontrolled manner and thus contribute negatively to the identification of structures.
By contrast, the microscope developed by Juan Manuel Bueno, Pablo Artal Emilio Gualda and allows visualization of ocular tissues ex vivo without dyeing processes.
