"The elections of 2011. Lessons and prospects for political communication and campaign management" is the title of the course of the Sea International University-Campus Mare Nostrum, which will take place the week of 18 to 22 July in the town of Aguilas.
According to the organizers, in the last decade has seen a radical change in the conception of communication strategies in the field of politics, but also a new way to design and implement the campaign by the parties. " A twist that has resulted, they say, the adoption of models supported by new forms of communication and the incorporation of techniques to know ever better the public and their reaction to the speeches of politicians.
The course, part of the summer program at the University of Murcia is precisely analyze the processes of political communication in the region of Murcia in the context of recent regional and municipal elections of last May.
The course aims to prepare professionals for the management, development and evaluation of political and electoral campaigns, in order to develop their work in the fields of political parties and civic organizations.
The event is directed by Antonia Martínez Rodríguez, Professor of Political Science at the University of Murcia, and its faculty is composed of sociologists and professors of political science and communication.
It lasts 30 hours, and those who enroll will have a choice of three elective credits.
