The Department gives facilities and is responsible for cleaning and monitoring María Dolores Sanchez this morning visited the school Summer School Gloria Fuertes (El Palmar) organized by local AMPAS

The Department of Education, which directs María Dolores Sánchez, working with the Department of Social Welfare and Culture and different organizations and Associations of Parents of the municipality (AMPAS) to give educational facilities to hold summer schools.

More than three thousand children participate in these schools.

Education also is responsible for cleaning and monitoring of assigned spaces in public schools in Nursery, Primary and Special as well as the provision of Concierge in some schools.

Maria Dolores Sanchez this morning visited the Summer School which takes place in the College Gloria Fuertes (El Palmar), organized by AMPAS of several schools in the locality.

Summer Schools in the smallest part in workshops, sports and diverse activities such as excursions, visits, etc..

During July they are celebrating summer schools in 59 public schools, of which:

-31 Municipal Services are organized by the Municipality of Murcia (24 by Social Services, Social Welfare 1 for Cultural Centers and 6).

- 1 by the Neighborhood Association Bacons Bridge

- 1 by the Municipality of Los Martínez del Puerto

- 2 Roma Secretariat organized by

-24 Organized by AMPAS, which are grouped in six are: Fleet, Bacons Bridge, Torreagüera, Cabeza de Torres, Sangonera la Verde and El Palmar, which is a total of 39 AMPAS involvement.

Social Welfare Services and Social Services Summer School share in the CEIP Juan Manuel Infante, Roma Secretariat and AMPA CEIP Narciso Yepes Narciso Yepes in the, and cultural centers and social services in the CEIP St. Pius X.

The centers use the same area by several associations or groups, has led to open 18 schools had less than if done individually (15 as a result of the union of AMPAS and 3 other services that have shared spaces) which represents a significant savings in their maintenance.

By giving these spaces, optimizes resources to the development of the activity: cleaning and security, improve the organization in the maintenance of schools, encouraging social equals, offer alternatives in the event that a center does not can be used because it works, and improve the scheduling of summer schools, and that increasing participation is higher profitability.
