Global demand for seafood is growing rapidly for years, and will likely increase twice within 30 to 50 years.
The question is how far can aquaculture meet those needs without compromising future generations and the natural resources available today?
The responsible course of the Sea International University-Campus Mare Nostrum "Sustainability Indicators in Mediterranean Aquaculture" try to answer that question using that qualify as "simple and easy tool that ensures the implementation of food supply in a sustainable way" : indicators of sustainability.
The course is organized around three pillars: economic, social and environmental governance as an umbrella watching these three dimensions.
The activity is directed by Javier Remiro Pearl.
The course will be in the hall of the Residence Alberto Colao Cartagena from 18 to 21 July, and who are registered will be entitled to three free credits.
