Councilman Rafael Gomez has welcomed the participants in the contest and sponsor of the event, journalist Eva Franco, and the Grand Master, the singer Rafael Basurto
Once tunas in Spain and Mexico filled the Barrio del Carmen in color and songs these days participating in the XV edition of the International Competition of Tunas "Barrio del Carmen", which takes place this weekend at the Artillery Barracks.
Councillor for Culture, Rafael Gomez, has welcomed the groups involved and stressed the welcoming nature of Murcia.
He has also presented to the Godmother of the competition, the journalist Eva Franco and the Grand Master, the singer of 'Los Panchos' Rafael Basurto.
The Tunas contest organized by the University of the District of Tuna Murcia-1912, not only will the music on this site, but its participants, a total of 400, made rounds through the streets of the city, inviting all to Murcia join this event.
Rafael Basurto concert will star the extraordinary event, held tonight, starting at 22.30, and promises many surprises with the special participation of the District Tuna and other artists who have gone through the festival along these fifteen years.
The event will be seen live via the Internet.
