Students in the School of internship at the University of Murcia learning made during the summer months in the Public Employment Service (SEPE), thanks to the agreement sealed today by both institutions in convalescence and that is the first of its kind that firm in Spain.
At first, practice will benefit from the 30 students of the School, which two months will see how this part of the Administration on the premises of SEPE (under the Ministry of Labour and Immigration) of the city of Murcia.
The rector of Students and Employment, Maribel Sanchez-Mora, said that the intention of the University is open to other qualifications such practices that complement and extend the training in universities.
SEPE director general, Antonio Toro, who traveled to Murcia to signing the agreement, expressed his willingness to extend the practice to students from other studios and they also benefit from this experience.
The Ministry official referred to various studies which demonstrate that placements in companies gives college students more likely to find employment later.
For its part, the rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho stressed the importance of the agreement, to influence him, in his view, the main problem of Spanish society: high rates of unemployment.
At the signing ceremony attended by government delegate, Rafael Gonzalez, and other members of SEPE and the initiators of the Convention: the director of the School of Labour Practice, Guillermo Rodriguez, and the provincial director of that state agency, José Ramón Pérez.
