The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, and the Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, have morning, day 15, at a conference on "Healthy University Project" of these institutions and the "Spanish Network of Universities healthy (REUS).
The "Healthy University Project", a collaborative effort of the educational institution and the Ministry, acting on three strategies: a healthy academic environment, physical, occupational and psychosocial development of specific programs of promotion and health education and, finally, enters the building and learning in health education and research lines of students.
The conference will also serve to inform the university community REUS, network of the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality, the Ministry of Education, the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), along with twenty universities and Public Health six structures, among which include the University of Murcia and the Ministry of Health of the Region of Murcia.
For this meeting, assisted by Carmen Garcia, rector of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid and national coordinator of the Network, has scheduled two round tables to discuss the inclusion of promotion and health education in undergraduate and postgraduate training at the University of Murcia.
The conference, aimed at University staff and representatives of the ministries, and members of health professions and professional associations, will be inaugurated at 9:00 pm in the Chamber of Arts, the Merced campus, and close in the same place, at 14:00.
