The University of Murcia has become one of the few Spanish universities have a Social Responsibility Report, to edit a collection of policies on this matter had been done in the institution.
Longinus Professor Marin, who was in charge of coordinating the work, said in the presentation of the publication, which was held in convalescence, the seat of the Chancellor, that "in the same manner required of the undertakings responsible citizens begin to also sue the government, and this work is the answer to that demand. "
The report details the commitment of the University of Murcia with students, staff, society, the business sector, the environment, through research and continuous improvement.
The rector, José Antonio Cobacho, said that the document is "to see what we are doing well in terms of social responsibility we have to improve, how we are seen from the society and how we affect it."
The report is an initiative of the Chancellor and the Vice President for Student and Employment has developed the Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility, headed by Professor Marin said.
