Collections of furniture from the National Archaeological Museum
The Ministry of Culture has presented today at the Cultural Center of Murcia Las Claras exhibition Gold and Silver.
Luxury and distinction in ancient Spanish.
A project conceived in the interest of the National Archaeological Museum to raise awareness and highlight the value of its exceptional collection of ancient gold peninsula.
The collection was gathered over a century and a half and gives a comprehensive and inclusive vision of the evolution and diversity of work of the first goldsmiths Hispanics.
Is a chronological journey from the Chalcolithic to the Roman era and is divided into seven thematic sections: The first goldsmiths; The emergence of Late Bronze Age, The fashion of the watermark, the rich silver and gold of the bride Celtic Treasures Men and gods, the world castreño between tradition and innovation, and going global.
The exhibition includes nearly 300 pieces, highlighting torques, bracelets of gold and silver crowns of different Spanish provinces.
The exhibition will be open until 26 June and admission is free.
