The School of Computer selects students for the European leg of the ACM programming contest (20/05/2011)

The team of students from the University of Murcia Canelles Angel Pina, Santiago Pina and Carlos Pérez Alcaraz Ros has won for the second year Programming Olympiad organized by the Faculty of Informatics at the educational institution and participate in the European phase of the competition AMC ICPC.

Students have the opportunity to overcome the bronze medal gained in the last edition of this international competition of the best programming for college students in computer science and engineering, which this year will be held in Madrid in November.

Second has been the team of Jose Sanchez Sanchez, Diego Melendez Ruben Ruiz and Manuel Antonio Serrano Rodríguez, while high school students winners of the Olympiad in the Region of Murcia, Ezekiel and Daniel Navarro Santamaría Martín Sanchez, ranked third.

Also on Tuesday, May 24, the assembly hall of the Faculty of Computer Science, Campus Espinardo, will host, from 18:00 hours, the awards ceremony of the IV Olympiad in the Region of Murcia for high school students and High, where he shared more than 40 prizes, from free tuition for the University to computer products.
