The Governing Board has finally approved the policy agenda of the Special Plan
The process for the burial of the railway and the remodeling of the station environment Barrio del Carmen has moved a step closer to final approval of the action program of the single action unit of the Special Plan.
This is the first management tool developed by the council, a document that provides the technical and economic bases of the transformation of that space.
The action program of the Special Plan has been prepared by the Murcia High Speed ​​Civil Society (formed by the central government, autonomous community and City Hall).
The document envisages that will transform 207,290 meters square of land, of which 188,058 meters square will be public sale.
The new environment of the railway station of Barrio del Carmen have around 30,000 square meters of green space, equipment 5,088 meters square, a residential area of ​​15,539 meters and 3,693 meters square square-tertiary land which can be built commercial areas, hotels, offices, etc .-
The works will be phased so that at no time was disrupted rail traffic.
The following steps will be the approval of the proposed land subdivision, which has already been submitted for initial approval and the approval of the proposed development.
Once approved these documents could commence work.
The full City Council approved the Special Plan for the redevelopment of Carmen in May 2010 and thereafter will continue working to make the project a reality.
Carmen completely change the appearance as they build new homes (Free and VPO), wide avenues surrounded by gardens, along the lines of Ronda Sur and parking areas, underground and surface.
Among the major projects include the construction of a boulevard linking Barriomar with Pain and two roads that will link the district of Carmen Ronda Sur and Patiño.
