Sustainable Mobility gaining ground with the addition of the first hybrid taxis (17/05/2011)

Chamber Mayor attends the presentation of 25 vehicles that already serve

Taxi service from Murcia also has gap between business and social sectors determined that their activity does not harm the environment.

Mayor House this morning attended the presentation of the top 25 hybrid vehicles that have joined the public service in Murcia.

The replacement of previous cars with new models-the Toyota Prius, will cut 80 tons of CO2 per year, of which 60 tonnes for fuel savings and the remaining 20 for engine efficiency.

Chamber thanked the taxi drivers to support measures to enable a municipality to build more committed to sustainable development because "the involvement and awareness of all is essential if we look around neighborhoods and districts with a higher quality of life."
