The course of the Three Cultures is, once again, the start of the new edition of the International University of the Sea With the title "Mediterranean identity of the three cultures", the course will be held in the Chamber of the Faculty of Arts University of Murcia from 23 to 27 May, coinciding with the festival "Murcia Three Cultures" organized by the Municipality of Murcia, in whose schedule fits.
The central objective is to show activity in areas such as music, visual arts, folk architecture, cuisine, language, mythology, travel, etc., What and how much of the Mediterranean, in each of the Three Cultures.
With a duration of 30 hours, the activity is organized in five sessions in morning and evening, centered on the Mediterranean identity in Jewish culture, Christians and Muslims, who try to reflect "from the understanding of others and from the tolerance and understanding of ideas about the coexistence of these cultures and its most significant.
The inaugural conference on the topic "From music arabic flamenco Is there a Mediterranean musical identity?" And payable by the professor at the University of Murcia Alfonso Carmona.
The Mediterranean diet, tastes, markets and identities, the Mediterranean myth of the goddess mother, Christmas Mediterranean, the Jewish question or Mediterranean heritage, will be among the topics covered in this course, which will involve teachers from the Universities of Murcia, Granada, Barcelona, ​​Autónoma de Madrid and Oberta de Catalunya.
The initiative is the direction of professor and dean of the Faculty of Arts José María Jiménez Cano, and those who enroll in it shall be entitled to 3 free credits.
