Mayor House has been awarded the Gold Badge Brotherhood of the Holy Cross, in an emotional ceremony in the Chapel of the Cross in Sangonera la Verde.

This weekend in the village is celebrated the Feast of the Cross, which brings together hundreds of the faithful.

The ceremony was also attended by the council street cleaning, José Ros, and two hundred parishioners of the old quarter of town.

The Brotherhood of the Holy Cross celebrated for centuries the traditional party, the second largest in the hamlet of Sangonera la Verde.

The Mayor highlighted the drive and effort they put the members of this fraternity to foster the cult of the Cross.
